Neighborhood Volunteer Opportunities

The EENA Board of Directors has established four committees: executive; communications; safety; and social. The executive committee is comprised of the association’s officers and handles urgent matters between board meetings.

The safety committee monitors crime reports, works with groups like the Midtown Security Community to address safety issues in our neighborhood, and makes recommendations on zoning and code enforcement issues.

The communications committee takes responsibility for this newsletter, our website, and looks for other ways to improve communications throughout the neighborhood.

The social committee is responsible for welcoming new neighbors, organizing activities such as the neighborhood Halloween parade and potluck, and other social gatherings.

Another very important volunteer group is the Street or Block Captains. Street/Block Captains help distribute the neighborhood newsletter, pass out special information fliers, collect surveys, and help identify new neighbors.

To get involved as a neighborhood volunteer contact Jason Hood at (901) 274-7008 or email him at jason.hood@yahoo.com.
